Project Announcement – Treated Water Analyser Module – WA

WestWater have successfully won a tender with the Water Corporation for the design, construction and installation of a new analyser module at the Alkimos Wastewater Treatment Plant, located in the metropolitan area of Perth, Western Australia, approximately 45km north of the CBD.

The treated water analyser module will be a pre-fabricated modular building, consisting of:

  • two analyser panels with four analysers – two ammonia analysers and two turbidity analysers.
  • an analyser pump station, consisting of duty/standby progressive cavity pumps.
  • sample water supply pipework for the two analyser panels.
  • analyser bypass pipework and sample water return pipework.
  • power & control boards.

Each analyser panel will include one ammonia analyser, one turbidity analyser, a sample filtration system, and ancillary instrumentation for remote monitoring and control.

There are also civil works associated with the installation of the analyser module, including:

  • a raised pad foundation for the analyser module.
  • an extension to the existing site access road up to the new analyser module.
  • appropriate drainage around the module and access road
  • compacted gravel road base footpath with limestone steps up to the analyser module.

All aspects of the works will be completed in accordance with the Contract, relevant design standards, and Australian Standards.

The project is expected to reach Practical Completion by March 2025.
